Latest News: Live Production and Mastering
Katie Spencer: Live at Acoustic Roots
Katie Spencer is one of the UK's rising stars on the folk scene, making a great name for herself with her superb guitar style, reminiscent of Bert Jansch and John Martyn, and her gorgeously poetic songs and ethereal vocal style.
Ian had the pleasure working with her on a live recording back in February 2020, which has resulted in this fabulous live EP.
You can grab a CD or digital copy of the release on Katie's Bandcamp page. You can also see her in action on the night performing Shannon Road by clicking here. Thanks to Stuart Cleverdon for video production.
Harbottle & Jonas: Live at Acoustic Roots
The last concert held at Acoustic Roots (see bottom of this page) before the Covid-19 lockdown on 7 March 2020 was not only a fabulous one, but was professionally captured in audio and video.
Ian managed the sound on the evening and also managed to capture the audio which, as it turns out, made a fabulous live album for Dave and Freya in these difficult times for touring musicians.
You can sample and download the digital album at the Harbottle & Jonas Bandcamp page, and see clips of them in action on the night on the Acoustic Roots Wigan YouTube Channel, video captured and edited by Stuart Cleverdon.

Long Story Short by Richard Knott
Richard is an excellent acoustic guitarist and his wonderfully crafted songs have been described as "on the bluesier side of singer-songwriter". His debut full-length album was released in February 2018 and Ian has not only acted as Associate Producer but has also done a little bit of mandolin session work too!
